Waiting for the outcome of our overseas trip right?

Current voting stands at Bintan higher than Bangkok.

I will contact Bintan with regards to 22 to 24 September as we will need to have guides available on those dates. If I'm not wrong Design School is having two weeks of holidays then before they go on to the next block. We can't have it earlier in the week too as we are having Poly Forum. Yeeping wants to go and but is involved in PF!
We'll very much be doing community service and adventure learning in Bintan. Meals provided at about $250 per pax for 3D2N.

If the dates are not possible, we'll be heading to Bangkok!
As Bangkok is Free & Easy, the dates are not really fixed. Shopping!
However cost is at about over $300. Meals not provided except for Breakfast.
Somewhat more ex.
3D2N or 4D3N. Anything is fine!
If Bintan is not possible then we shall have a voting soon on the duration of stay in Bangkok ya.

Next choice is cheap Desaru! 3D2N at about $110 per pax. Meals not provided. But votes currently stands at 0. Since no one voted for this, I shall then. haha. 1 vote for Desaru. Beach resort doing sea sports.

Sorry for the mess in some ways, I know it was not what everyone wanted, those at Marche couldn't book the seats for the rest and the rest were just too late to avoid the dinner crowd.

Of course, turnout was good but gathering will certainly need improvement!

with regards to the outing on 5th May...
I understand many of you will be wondering why eating again!

But given the amount of impromptu and unofficial outings, it's time we do one where everyone is well informed both from camp and workshop! it's important we have a good place to sit down and discuss where's the next good place for our next outing. I have tonnes complaining to me, why I don't know about it! haha. So i hope even if the price is a lil bit too expensive for you, come over and take a drink. save up for the important occasion please! What I will like to see is centis people from camp knowing the people from workshop!

I seriously miss you guys so I really hope I get to see you on 5th May. I will be hogged with work soon, so i don't know when's the next time I can see you guys!

Certain possibilities of the next big outing was discussed.

I've heard from some ex-GLs, but seems like no progress as yet.

As we all look to each other as friends now, I will call them ex-GLs. haha. Please get all this going and I will really need your cooperation in disseminating the information of these outings to our dear freshies. And of course you set a nice example by being there and being on time! haha. =)

Heya everyone! Congrats to YUTING and the rest of the selected GLs. =)

I just wanna let you guys know that for the identity, we've decided on using a piece of cloth, instead of a rubber wrist band. Budget wise. What to do. =/ And I'm sure you guys don't wanna pay too much right. Don't forget we're paying for the freshies too. If we had decided on rubber wrist bands, everyone would have to pay about $8 just for the identity. But now, it's only $1.20 each. Remembered I collected $3.50 instead? So there's actually extra. Here's an option. Either you guys wanna keep it as centis fund [for later use eg. chalets, food, etc.] or return everyone when you guys collect your centis tees. Please state your preference.

And back to the piece of cloth. It's a 50cm x 5cm ORANGE cloth. The orange is the current font colour I'm using. Do you all think we should write/decorate the cloth, or just leave it as an orange cloth? Please choose. By the way, it's to tie on either your wrist or above your ankle or anywhere on your body. Just don't lose it. We have limited pieces.

and so yes! I've announced our finalised GLs list after the second round of selection. the first of course being all your interviews.
(By the way, lets hope Edwin joins us as a GL. He's appealing for a swap of courses and he's coming in as a freshie again! BUT! if he's back, he will definitely continue to be our GL)

I didn't have much joy announcing the list cause I knew those who were not chosen will be very disappointed. Whatever it is, I had to fulfill my responsibilities as a main comm to pick the best for both the freshies and of course our group. If you're chosen, good for you. Better work hard and well with the rest of your teammates!

Some names were not announed as they will be away from camp for certain reasons and all. So to those of you out there not attending FOW/ FOC with us, take care and gd luck to all your future endeavours!

Congrats to Yuting to for being chosen as our Head GL. But yes, still, everyone of you guys are just as important. As a Head GL, Yuting will now be expected to take a rather backseat role, acting as the bridge between the main comm and the GLs. The Main Comm will now move to other matters with the finalised GLs being the trusted ones to lead their freshies. The Head GL role is never easy. Being expected to attend all our meetings and debriefs, she will also need to seek the help of fellow GLs in the overall organisation and management of the group. The FAs will have no control in this so I urge all of you GLs to give a good thought about it and share as one and of course to assist Yuting.

Freshies are not the easiest lot to handle. So it is important we GLs stand firm and show unity in our opinions and actions in front of our freshies, setting the mood and of course being role models for them to follow. Those who attended the last FOC will defnitely know what I'm talking about. You inadvertedly may have just took one of your GL as your inspiring senior!

All of you are true GROUP LEADERS now. and I expect all of you to put in your best to lead the group, be it with the frontline cheering, group welfare, team dynamics or yuting's backseat organisation. We have an abundance of talents in every area! but what I'm waiting to see will be whether you GROUP LEADERS can function all these talents as a group.

remember, respect. & trust. lead. & follow.

Our sub empire names will be Cenbu Cengang & Cengua. Don't ask me why but those who understand hokkien will definitely know. This is not important, so for those eager cheerleaders, maybe you can start and have some thoughts about it.

If you think that the FAs are gona leave all of you alone to Yuting after the strong words I used in today's briefing, then YOU ARE WRONG!!! haha. I just wanted to give YUTING more stress. HAHA. okok. jokin. I'm not that evil.
FAs will now be highlighting to you peeps here and then with concerns from the school and also the organisers. We will be taking an even more backseat role than OTC to ensure the freshies, International students (SOMETHING NEW!) and GLs can click in this whole camp and everything runs smoothly (WALKIE TALKIES ARE IMPORTANT!). We will want to run this whole orientation well and I dare say the difficulty of being a GL has just got harder with the introduction of International Students. But Centis's GLs are champs. not chumps. so, I'm sure we'll be able to handle it right? haha.

Treat the upcoming ALP & FOC briefing(if any) with utmost importance. Only after that will we announce the finalised GLs list as split into subempires.

I congratulate all you chosen GLs and Yuting once again.

OTC has been good. But FOW/ FOC must be even better.
(I just recalled what Jodin said during OTC. that strong criticism that fired all of us up. Haha. Keep the fire burning then.)

After saying all this. I can finally smile again. haha. I didn't feel good this morning to be honest, it was like all bad news except announcing the names to those who made it as GLs?
there are stringent regulations to follow, time & alot of effort to commit. I do admire you guys, putting in a whole week of time and even GOOD FRIDAY! for the sake of freshies.
but I expect all who were chosen to turn up and put in a good show!

oh yah, according to stanford (i saw on his nick in msn) , there's a chalet coming up on the 6-8 march (i think) for all otc people, and it happens to be on standford's birthday! and for the chalet i think those going have to pay around 10 bucks. im not very sure about the details, so if anyone is interested it's better to contact stanford eh? but honestly i think all of us centis people should all go, so we can celebrate stan's birthday as well dont you guys think so?

hey peeps this is maybelin here! yay finally we're all blogging and stuff..cool!! lol.. =P

but anyway about the outing thing..maybe we can come together one day and have lunch together? why dont you guys just write down which day you all will be free for lunch? or the days when you all will be free from, say, between 1-4pm? from there im sure we can come up with a day and venue to have lunch together. and maybe, we can even go out on a saturday to town or sentosa again? =) i'll be free on almost everyday except tuesdays! (i think) ;)

and about the shirt and band thing, i think it's a damn fine idea? cos' the shirt will make it easier for freshies to identify us yeah? plus, it will set us apart from the other empires, making us unique? haha. =P but then if we choose the gold colour for the font, wouldn't it be much more expensive? might over-exceed our budget eh. but i think the theme for the shirt would be nice though.vintage.yeah.and about the bands, i think it's a good idea too.easier for us to identify our centis freshies too. =) oh yah, do you guys think this style of font is nice for the word "CENTIS"?

greetings to centiscians or centites or watever!

i so appreciate con for setting the blog (& even friendster account) up for all of us and we all ought to thank her.
This will be more than a forum but also a place where I can release certain important announcements and information to the group.

This can also be a discussion ground for all you wonderful people and also for the GLs who are taking the initiative to discuss certain issues to work upon before the dawn of FOC. Con is currently working on the 'identity' and will be calling up certain corporate gift companies. Yeeping and Edwin have also expressed an interest in the discussion of this. so this can actually a ground for us to listen to them.

to the rest, if you have any brilliant ides burning inside your heart, churning inside your brain, pour them out here and alas, you neva noe, that might just spark off something wonderful for the group.

I am elated to see this set up and I hope to see all of you fully utilising it.

I really hope to see you guys soon and I hereby thank constance again for having this blog and inviting me to blog.
